Too Hot!

 It is hot! It is hot! It is way way too hot!
When back in the winter I totally forgot!
That there could be days where we melt in the sun
Some people like it but to me it's not fun.

There used to be stories that old people told
About how the summer heat was superior to cold
But now that it's summer it's not really nice
And I dream of a life that's surrounded by ice

They say that the summer's supposed to be fun
But I feel like a bread loaf that's practically done
I need something cold or I think I might faint
The summer's the best? No no no - no it aint! 

I Am Free!

 Mommy is taking the kids on vacation today
Someplace to frolic - a great place to play
And how do I feel? Well, I'll make this one brief
A week's worth of freedom oh what a relief!

And don't get me wrong me I love them to death
But sometimes it's nice to catch up on one's breath
To be all alone and to find clarity
And be able to write something kinda dorky

I know while they're missing the days will be long
Without them I know I will have to be strong
And while they are gone well I know my own worth
'Cause I am the dorkiest guy on the Earth.

My Toothbrush

 I really love my toothbrush
I really have to say
That everything today went wrong
But I brush it all away
'cause when I'm with my toothbrush
Then everything's okay

The toothbrush holds a special place
In everybody's life
For me and for my children
And also for my wife
'cause when we're with our brushes
Our lives are free of strife

As day gets late and night is nigh
I hold my toothbrush tight
A foul taste is in my mouth
So I brush with all my might!
'cause when I'm with my toothbrush
Then everything's alright

... Now it's time to say goodnight!
